Shan McDonald: (Far Right)
Graduated from Texas A & M with Bachelor of
Science in Physical Education and minor in Biology in 1983. Has a Masters
degree in Technology in Education. Was Head Softball Coach at the University of
Nevada Las Vegas for 17 years and was involved with the 1996 Canadian Olympic
team and multiple Canadian National Teams.
Upon leaving UNLV, she went on to be Head Softball Coach for the 2004
Chinese Olympic Team which finished fourth. Currently a Physical Education
teacher at Sig Rogich Middle School, Clinician/Facilitator for Synergy Team
Concepts, Co-Head Softball Coach for the only Gold team in Nevada and private
softball instructor. Continues to have extensive involvement with the
development of softball as a coach and clinician for the International Softball
Federation. Most recently Coach for
Canadian Youth team at the World Youth Championships 2009 in the Czech
Republic.

Graduated 1979 and entered directly into the work
force and achieved success in the corporate world and for the last 29 years as
an Account Executive for the Las Vegas Review Journal. Began coaching softball
in 1984 for the recreational leagues in Las Vegas which became the foundation
for the current travel ball teams. Clinician along side some of the elite
players and coaches from the United States Olympic team and a clinician for the
Dot Richardson Softball Association which was a developmental program for the
recreational leagues in Las Vegas as well as California. Currently
President/Clinician/Facilitator for Synergy Team Concepts, President of Las
Vegas Rage Travel Organization, Co-Head Softball Coach for the only Gold team
in Nevada the past 16 years, Director for NFCA Camp in Las Vegas and private
softball instructor.
